The 4 acres of Shiraz vines are situated on the Northern slopes in soils of rich volcanic origin, arguably the best terroir for the Shiraz varietal. The vineyards yield has been restricted to a ton an acre to enhance the quality of the vintage. This wine is the classic red variety of the Hunter Valley. A well balanced, medium body, Shiraz with lovely characters of raspberry and mulberry fruit, excellent to drink now and will continue to develop in bottle.
